Birds on hill above Amberley (Southdowns Way)

In case anyone in interested, in late December we spotted a Red Kite and two Corn Buntings on the high ground.

Both good birds with distictly contrasting fortunes. Red kites on the way up and sadly, corn buntings on the way down.

always nice to see corn buntings, not seen them in the uk but one of my patches holds a very small population, saw them a lot in spain, i love their calls.

On the above link, the red kite was seen amonsgst crows at the top of the valley behind the farm at the top of Mill Lane. The Corn Buntings at approx OS ref TQ119053. Good luck.
