| | | Bird feeder mix On to a winner here... I've been trying various types of bird food over the last six months that most birds would eat without leaving any mess and encouraging rattie and co to keep setting up home in our garden.
I bought three straight foods and mixed the all together to make a winning formular
sunflower hearts, peanut granules and suet pellets!
All birds from wood pigeons to Goldfinches have visited on a daily basis
even dunnocks have been eating from the feeders after i purchased some perch rings for an existing six port feeder
Grey squirrels will love it as well so you may have to be clever in where and how you site your feeders but no waste at all |

| | | Re: Bird feeder mix On to a winner here... Just thought it might be worth posting, but I've noticed that with the rain and snow at this time of year feeder ports tend to get clogged up more easily and need to be checked regularly, although I'm sure most people do.
I used to buy the Bill Oddie mix from Wilkos which was reasonably inexpensive but quite chunky, so have now switched to a finer variety of seed. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
