where to find owl pellets in Kent or London?

hiya,

I live near Greenwich, SE London.
Im really interested in finding some owl pellets to disect... but google hasen't been very helpful with places i can find owls..
I would have expected travelling out to Kent would be more of a success, so does anyone know any good woodlands i can visit or anything??

All i could find was the sanctuarys to ring up but it seems that alot of schools get the pellets.

Sydenham Hill Woods are listed as having owls - check on the London Wildlife Trust website for map and details - there may be a phone number for you to contact someone for help.

Hi

If you find any, my dad recommends putting them in water rather than cutting them up. Never tried it myself, but he swears by it - says the pellet dissolves and no risk of breaking the contents up whilst dissecting.
