| | | Re: Can someone identify this bird for me? I'll take a stab at the common buzzard (buteo buteo). Not your average garden bird, I must say...
How did you figure out to leave scraps of meat/offal? Were you hoping to attract something like that?
Regards, Nik. |

| | | Re: Can someone identify this bird for me? No, we noticed him perching in the trees around the house so we started to put scraps of meat out on a stump in the front garden, now he is here everyday looking for a feed, we breed dogs who eat a raw diet so the scraps they cant eat Vince and co get. |

| | | Re: Can someone identify this bird for me? As stated Common Buzzard probabley due to the cold snap and the offerrings you are giving it.
I have had a couple of unusual visitors in the garden Yellowhammer normally confined to the farmers fields and wooded areas, and Pied Wagtail again normally in the open spaces
I keep on checking what is going to come next as we are getting hit bad up here with snow and sub zero temps as they seem to be coming into easy pickings of food

| | | Re: Can someone identify this bird for me? Morning all and a Happy New Year to you all.
Had the 2 Buzzards down in the garden feeding this morning, we did notice in the summer that we had a breeding pair with young not far from the house so I am wondering if this could be them. |
