Help required please in ID Confirmation ,this is the first time this has ever appeared in the garden ,can you confirm or put me right on ID as to if it is a Yellowhammer please
Sorry pics not upto much but just taken oput of window throught the glass and light is fading

A yellowhammer, fantastic. Go to New Zealand, thousands of them over there.

I understand they are in serious decline in Europe though.

Thanks for the confirmation I knew I could rely on you all.
It must be my lucky day as I now have 2 visiting the garden ,it was back today and brought along a friend

it must be the weather thats started them looking for food in the gardens its all I can think of.

Nice one for the garden Big Bill. Never had one. Think the recent bad weather is pushing all sorts of birds a bit closer to gardens and places that we wouldn't normally see them.
