It's a first for me!

Yesterday, about 1:00pm I saw this unusual wag of a tail present itself on my garden fence. And to my suprise.. A Grey Wagtail! I had never seen one of these before, hopefully it returns. A quick question, if it does return is that a sign of a very good winterly supply of insects or somthing else?

They are pretty common around London, especially this time of the year. As well as being seen by water they often feed on flat roof tops- even in the built up centre of the city. Last week I picked one up by call by Bond Street Station as it flew across Oxford Street + I regularly hear + then see one or two around the roof tops of the local town centre.

Hopefully it will return- they are beautiful birds.
