| | | Success at last! I've been struggling to get birds to come into my garden of late, in any significant numbers. I've tried all the usual suspects such as fat balls, various seed mixes and peanuts. All of which, have been snubbed by virtually all but the Doves and Maggies. Yesterday I put out some suet pellets that I found in Tesco and today, low and behold.....a miracle!. It's as though all of the residents from Slimbridge, just up the road, have moved in. It's gone crazy! The apple tree is bending under the sheer weight of all the birds that are waiting for their turn to get onto the feeding station. I'm fast running out of pellets and I will need to make a trip to buy some more of these treats, in bulk hopefully. It's clear from watching the birds that they are all going straight for the pellets and ignoring the rest of the offerings. Incidently, the visitors include Starlings, Blackbirds, Tits, Woodies and Doves. Oh and the local Sprawk is close by. Must be thinking it's Christmas day all over again - Wizzo

| | | Re: Success at last! I think those must be the same ones I bought just before Christmas Wizzo and they do seem to have been very popular. I bought two packs and they have all gone already so shall have to remember to add them to my shopping list. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
