Exclamation Unidentified Gull
Hi Folks,
I am hoping someone can help with the identification of these birds,
I thought the gull might be a Ring Billed Gull ???
and the group possibly ringed Plovers, ???

Hi Duncan,

The first looks like a Common Gull in winter-plumage - I thought a CG was a R-b G once too! I actually posted here about it! Not sure on the second, though they certainly look like Plover spp. to me.

agree herring gull, and ringed plovers, little ringed plovers dont show the white wingbars in flight.

Hi.

Agree with Dogghound.

I think the Herring Gull is a third winter bird.
