which birds 1st to your table ?

have you noticed which bird or birds come to the table or feeding station 1st ? at 1st light today and most days after putting food out the resident robin comes followed by dunnocks then blackbirds ? rossy.

not the same but the very first bird to my feeders was a blue tit within 2 hours of putting them out, I was well surprised as I thought it'd take at least a day or two for the birds to get used to them. I was also surprised it was a blue tit as the ones in my mums garden are well timid, but here thay are bold as brass. Mind you her neighbour has two cats and there's none round here.

Chaffinches every time. I don't make it back to the shed and there's 5 or 6 on the feeders. Chaffinches are far and away the most numerous bird in our area.

male Blackbird on mine. He sits waiting on the table for me, and occasionally, he stays on the table while I'm putting food on it. He's my favorite garden resident, and one I really hope the Sparrow Hawk doesn't get. I'm not concerned about the neighbours cats, I think he's way to smart for them, and he alerts all the other birds to their presence. What a guy.

Blackbird or robin on ours. The blackbird is usually chuntering in the tree waiting for the missus to put the feeders out even when we go to work at 6am.
