| | | Blackcaps I've just seen a Blackcap in the garden We've had them at this time of year before and I wondered how common that is and have now read that although primarily a summer visitor birds from Germany and north-east Europe are increasingly spending the winter in the UK.
It was great to see it particularly as I rarely see them in the summer months - although that is probably down to the amount of foliage available for them to hide in. |

| | | Re: Blackcaps I saw a male and female Blackcap in the garden one day last week, and a single male was back on two days, with two males on another day.
I don't think I saw any last winter, but have seen one or two in previous winters. |
