| | | Re: Blackcap I've been watching out for them: they usually come and eat my black honeysuckle berries just outside the window about this time every year. They stayed quite late too this year. I gather they can stay all year sometimes. Very smart little birds. |

I saw a bird on my table the other day, it was in silhouette, I couldn’t figure out what it was but its shape was similar to a Robin. I could tell it was not Robin and was really puzzled by it. I now think it could have been a Blackcap, I hear them a lot in my garden but have never spotted one. I will keep a look out for it. Quote:

@shenk1, it was your photo that made me think of this and looking at the head and beak the shape is very Robin-like.
