Starlings in Somerset

Please can anybody tell me where the starlings are roosting on the levels this year? They were at Ham Wall last year and Westhay the year before that. My brother is visiting me next weekend and wants to see them and I don't want to go starling hunting all over the levels if I can help it! Thanks.

Shapwick and Westhay are good bets. Try going to what used to be Ashcott railway station and head NW along the old track.

You can sit on the south end of Wearyall Hill in the afternoons and see the flocks go by. From there it's a question of following them...I'll go out tomorrow and see if I can get some better info.
