As for the wind, its not really the noise that keeps me awake, I just worry about our animals outside and hope they are not affected by it. Last autumn the roof blew off one of our barns, and although none were hurt, they were pretty scared. |

| | | Re: Unusual blue-tit roost Oh I see, yes I quite understand. We,ve had a few similar things due to the wind. I had to bring my miniature Shetlands in today because they were so wet underfoot (They were living out),and they were glad to come into their stables, but I bet when the novelty wears off, or the sun shines, they will be moaning to go out.Trouble is the paddock they were in is a quagmire now, and our other paddocks have got too much grass on for them, guess I'll have to strip-graze them like I do the Welsh Cobs, trouble with that is , when they are only on a small area it treads so badly.....That little bird is a bit of a comedian, I wonder what he's really up to. Perhaps he's got into a sort of routine of going in the pot before roosting each night......We've got farm cats , they are very tame and spoilt, and they do occasionally have a bird, but there's nothing I can do about it, but we do have some nest-boxes in the garden. Our cats don't come into the garden 'cos of the dogs.....Think the wind has dropped now for a while. We've got rain again at 3am, for a few hours, we're in Hampshire........Posie... | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
