Hello,

Although the bird in the attached photo appears to be rather like the Rock Sparrow on page 43 of my 2003 copy of the RSPB Pocket Bird book, could one of you wise ladies/gentlemen confirm that it is just a bog standard female House Sparrow ?

If it had have been a Rock Sparrow in your garden, be prepared for a couple of thousand twitchers to descend!
