| | | Re: Waxwing watch. A flock of 20 has been spotted in the East end of Glasgow (Alexandra Park) whehey! Hopefully they will visit Blythswood square soon though it's being "occupied" at the moment by a bunch of hippies |

This was only my second chance to photograph waxwings and these are way better than my first attempt in spite of my lens problems.

It's not usually easy to judge numbers of birds like Waxwings when there is no way of telling how many are the same birds seen at different locations, but with flocks of 20+ reported on Birdguides from at least 10 separate sites during the last week (the maximum single flock being c60), and smaller flocks at numerous others, I would think that it would now be at least 500 (and Birdguides won't have recieved reports of all Waxwings).
