| | | Re: Waxwing watch. not 100% sure but near tesco roundabout in rochdale a flock of 20 to 30 maybe waxwing took off along with other birds i presume a bop was around. cant say for sure as i was driving past and couldnt stop. a few years ago in the same area they where spotted there. will go back tomorrow and hopefully get a positive id . rossy. |

Actually I do know why ... all those cotoneasters in the supermarket carpark landscaping. The carpark outside Sainsbury's at Meadowhall, Sheffield is a favoured waxwing spot .... |

Can't remember hearing of any being reported in this area of norfolk on the RBA pager recently.

| | | Re: Waxwing watch. That's a bit disappointing as we had a good run of them last year. I suppose in a way though, it means there's enough to eat for them where they are and so prevents them having to undertake a hazardous journey across the North Sea to feed themselves.
