| | | Migrating birds good fortune. I spent a late holiday in Jersey, Channel Islands in October. To my amazement, I found that farmers along the Jersey coast deliberately plant fields and fields of tall sunflowers when the seasonal crops are finished. The reason ? To supply migrating birds with a good crop of healthy food on their way south. Georgie6. |

I don't think they would do that around here without getting subsidised!!! |

if only everyone was so kind hearted...we can all do our bit...all it takes is a little effort !
