On Tuesday of this week coming myself and th wife are off to Egypt for two weeks for a holiday would any of you good people mind if I posted a few pics of birds we see as this is a british bird page.We may see a few British migrants but anything else must be worth a look at .

Shaun - I certainly wouldn't mind - you might even be able to id a few for me - we were in Egypt over the Christmas period last year and I still have a few for ID.

I got a pic of a hoopoe in the Gallery its not mine but my brothers taken in Spain..

I went to ibiza many years ago and was on a coach being transferred from the airport to our apartment. I was gazing out of the window when i saw a hoopoe in someones garden.
I jumped up out of my seat shouting "wow did you see that its a hoopoe" like an excited child straining my neck round to catch a last glimpse as the coach sped on its way
when i turned back round half the passengers where looking at me as though i was mad and my then girlfriend shook her head and said " just sit down its only a bird and your causing a scene"
non bird watchers just dont understand.....
