I watched a pair of Kestrels this afternoon chasing each other about, lots of arial acrobatics then they would land on a post or the ground. A few minutes later they would start all over again. A lovely sight to watch.
I was really lucky and had one land very close to me, she stayed long enough for me to get a few pics of her.  |

The Kestrel really is a beautiful bird, don't you just love those eyes. A great photograph.

forgot to add, saw a kestrel today showing very well, she was hovering quite happily for a good amount of time, and then an angry magpie decided to come and ruin it for her! last time i saw one at the same site, it was being mobbed by a group of rooks and crows, they seem to have a hard time there! |
