| | | Hesketh Out Marsh
Just visited Hesketh Out Marsh for the first time since the RSPB set up the new car park and hide. Not much there at the time or our visit apart from Curlews and Shelduck though there were several skeins of Pink Foots passing overhead apparently heading for Marshside and Martin Mere |

| | | Re: Hesketh Out Marsh Hesketh Out Marsh is at grid reference SD422251, at Hesketh-with-Becconsall near Southport, just a few minutes drive from RSPB Marshside.
There is a small car park (open from 8 am to 6 pm) at the end of the (private) Dib Road. Take Shore Road from Banks or Hesketh Bank. The turning is the first on the right after leaving Hesketh Bank and the first on the left after passing the Hundred End junction. |

This might be an idea if you wanted to visit early morning. If I lived locally I think I might be tempted to feed the sea wall by the hide (or around the cattle pens) with niger seed, it looks an excellent spot for twite!
Cheers
