| | | Re: leighton moss ok sprout hope the weather holds out as it was very warm and if you walk down the road on the way to the public hide on the right hand side amongst the ivy couldnt help notice how many wasps still very active. the beardies are on the trays to your right as you go to the public hide you will hopefully see them. i visited all the hides and it was busy they reckon around 110 thousand visited last year let me know how you get on regards rossy. |

| | | Re: leighton moss no richard set off back at 3pm didnt cross my mind to be honest. was there from 7am and enjoyed every minute. other people on here had mentioned it but it slipped my mind think i need to eat more fish. must be quite a spectacle though and dare say they make a little bit of noise. |

I was watching a bittern that has come into view through the scope then all of a sudden 3 marsh harriers, a spoonbill and family of Bearded Tits appeared in view without even having to move the scope. |

| | | Re: leighton moss I was up there on the 27th and saw one of the great white egrets, i think there are three at the moment. Also saw peregrine at warton crag and two raven. leighton moss and the surrounding woodland always make for a great day out
