Regards Frankie-Prawn | Oh god Im not very good at this I didn't talk it the wrong away I new you meant other anglers as you said you new of FUDGY and the stick he put up with he got some here too bless him.. .
This was a general comment as new comers just lately are a little touchy if someone speaks their mind there have been a few threads where they were told they had done the wrong thing where people have interfered with nature so this was not aimed at you either so if you read some threads like that take them with a pinch of salt I was trying to get over we are not nasty people if we have a different view point as others.. |

I promise I am not touchy, I have submitted threads and answered questions on quite a few sites one in particular is www.crayfishking.com although that site seems to have died a death, I amongst other things have been a commercial eel and crayfish fisherman for many years and it was the Signal Crayfish thread which brought me to this site, I enjoy country persuits such as fishing and shooting and eating wild foods so always browsing different sites like this one

Re the Pike predating on fish stocks on my water well sorry to state the obvious, but thats the whole point of me managing my loch. I stock it with prey fish so that the Pike grow big, all part of the plan.
Hi Frankie, thanks for the kind words mate. I will PM you to see where you are based, perhaps we could meet up for a session.

Hi Posie, hope alls well with you ;-) | Hi Again FUDGEY
I learned many years ago not to say anything if some would find it controvercial, you have nothing to gain and a lot to lose, I started Pike fishing when I was 12 years old and got serious with it in my early 20s I am now 55 phew, back in the 70s pike anglers were a rare breed as most would not brave the cold often freezing conditions, people tended to leave you alone to do what you wanted ie: live baiting and taking the occasional fish for the table, nowadays there is all the rules and regulations and of course some are for the better but most are just plain stupid, The PAC in its early days (known then as The Pike Society) was excellent bringing together likeminded Pike anglers and sharing information and also trying to protect the then hated by some species Esox Lucius, Trying to get big trout waters opened up for Pike fishing also, But as usual the more and more popular the sport became the more it attracted know it alls who wanted to change things. The pike angler went from being the much admired mythical fish hunter to be a target of blame for lots of problems even within the PAC if you can remember the Blithfield saga for instance, some were ejected from the PAC for not conforming to their code of Conduct some of them well known and respected pioneers of the sport, also I think a lot of jealousy from those who didn't fish there (I didn't fish there by the way although I would have if I could) as they were not invited. Anyway I dont get much time to fish these days due to other commitments, but when I do I go about it how I want and say nowt to no one Im not a member of any organisation with codes of conduct as I am a grown up, so I am only answerable to myself
