Kingfisher Location tips

Hello All,
I was very lucky to see my first Kingfisher this weekend whilst walking in Aylesbury, even rescuing a little perch that the bird had dropped.

I live in Coventry and was wondering if anyone see's these on a regualr basis around any of my local waters as I am keen to get a few pictures whilst we still have some good light. Any where within 10 miles or so.....

I spend a lot of time around water but have never seen one before the weekend, what a treat it was.

Most still or slow flowing bodies of water even in urban areas have an attendant Kingfisher or 2. The best part of birdwatching is finding your own birds so just keep your eyes and especially ears open and you should find them quick enough.
