| | | Ouch! I went to visit my mum today, and she showed me this on her kitchen window. A collared dove had flown straight into the window. Mum dashed outside to rescue it, but it had already flown away. Must have had a headache for a while though. |

| | | Re: Ouch! Nice "collard-dove angel" I have had that happen here a few times but they do seem to be very resilient and just bounce off. I think they fly fairly slowly and have very dusty feathers so it probably looks worse than it really was |

| | | Re: Ouch! I have had this happen before and I now have silhouettes on the window to stop it hapening again. Your photo is much better than the one I managed to take at the time. My neighbour had a sparrow fly into her window and it broke its' neck. |

| | | Re: Ouch! Quite often this happens if a sparrowhawk has been pursuing them. Found dead birds with dead hawks beside windows several times before. |

| | | Re: Ouch! It probably was the sprawk, there is one that hangs around mum's garden. Although this happened a few weeks ago, she kept the window like it for my visit, there was evidence of a kill in the garden from that morning. |

| | | Re: Ouch! I've had quite a few Wood Pigeons and Doves fly into my bedroom window. Luckily none of them have died from it, but the majority of the time it has been because a Sparrow Hawk has been chasing it.
