Hawfinch?

I hope this is a Hawfinch & not a Chaffinch

He appears to have a large beak but lacks the black lines

It's a chaffinch, but it does have a chunky bill!... but not as chunky as a Hawfinch.

Its a male Chaffich and I guess a juvenile coming into good plumage for the first time - keep looking

I used to wonder sometimes when glancing but once you've actually seen one you will know - they are big and bright eyed and have a habit of watching humans!!!!

Definitely a Chaffinch but apart from the bill the plumage isn't right and that is the main thing that should be looked at. Here are two of my photos showing each bird side on. Look at the plumage and you will see what I mean.
