| | Glossy ibis i saw my first glossy ibis today
it was very lucky, not just because of the bird itself, but we only saw it because my mum took a wrong turn and took us to the wrong reserve, where we happened to chance across a birdwatcher who asked 'so have you seen the glossy ibis yet?'
so we asked him where it was, walked for 10 minutes, and there it was!
i'm very grateful for that wrong turn my mum took now! ! !
stunning bird

| | | Re: Glossy ibis Lovely looking birds Squishy. Well done on seeing it. We had one in Lincolnshire a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately I didn't managed to see it. |

| | | Re: Glossy ibis Yea, well done you! We've had one staying in Lancashire for the last couple of years now, over at Warton Marshes mostly. They are a stunner for sure. Congrats |

| | | Re: Glossy ibis There's been a record influx recently with c50 birds involved, with birds turning up in many counties, though the numbers are dwindling now.
A great bird to see Squishy in the UK, though globally is pretty widespread.
You'll remember that wrong turn for a long time! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
