| | | Treecreeper I was lucky enough to spot a treecreeper yesterday. I do not see one very often at all.
I watched this one climb a long way up the tree trunk until it finally flew off. Unfortunately, it did persist in climbing up the side of the tree in the shade. Mustn't grumble....
Note the efficient claws
In this snap, it seems to have something to eat in its beak. The shot also illustrates the way the bird uses its tail as a prop

| | | Re: Treecreeper Lovely little birds arn't they, i often see them behind my house down by the river, they are not in the least bit timid and will quietly go about their business ignoring everything around them, one day years ago i was fishing and one just walked up a tree within 2 feet of where i was sitting.

| | | Re: Treecreeper Well done Colin. I was just watching one out of my office window this afternoon on a nearby tree in the woods next door. Very cute. Like has been said, they seem to just ignore everything going on around them in their hunt for yummy critters to eat |

One of my favourite birds - always a privilege to see one.

| | | Re: Treecreeper We had lots of them last year but not so many this year, wonder why as we had a fairly mild winter.

| | | Re: Treecreeper Last year I had one who loved to climb all over the hanging basket right outside my window, but I never managed a photo.I was hoping it would return this year but never saw it but I have seen them in the trees at the bottom of the garden.Barbara. |

| | | Re: Treecreeper think we probably saw one earlier today, trouble is the light was terrible looking into very dark grey sky it was at the top of the tree and some one was pouring a swimming pool over my head at the time too so the bins were completely useless, tried for 5 minutes then gave it up as a bad job and went home to dry off |
