| | | water bird ID hello,
this picture is awful but i was wondering what these little duck type birds were - the only thing i can think is a teal but i dunno, this was on the south coast.
i just remebered, i was wondering what this wader at the front here was too - the little brown one....

| | | Re: water bird ID The ducks are Wigeon. not too sure about the wader, might be a Godwit of some sort, mostr probably 'bar tailed godwit'

| | | Re: water bird ID ooh widgeon thats pretty exciting, thanks! and yeah it looks like my other godwit photos so thats fine  yeah it is an egret, but its a rubbish photo, we get a lot down here (little village just south of southampton) when the tides out so i went to get some better photos of them yesterday - i love them! |
