productive walk....
Just got back from a great walk around Farlington Marshes and Langstone Harbour..Started off with a sparrow hawk...then saw a pintail on one of the lakes..then an avocet...first one I've ever seen that close...then 5 buzzards circling over the harbour and egrets galore....I counted over 50 of them...23 in one place..they obviously like the south coast. A great mornings walk.

Oh..and I forgot to mention the 7 herons, the red breasted merganser and the 3 great crested grebes...as well as the usual susppects of course

Oooh! Very exciting... well done Ray. It doesn't have to be quiet and subdued at this time of year, even if many of the summer birds have left. Nice one
