Snoozing Barn Owl

Most nights this last week, just before dark I have been watching the Barn Owl hunting along the ditch banks.This morning I came across the little fella tucked up in an old straw stack.
He was taking a well earned nap after a long night out hunting.

I got as close as I dared without waking him up and got this pic.

They seem to pose for you, snake! You truly have the knack, most of us would be lucky to see the things you see, let alone capture them on film. And so exquisitely, too!

ive got to say i love all the pics and videos etc on this site.thank you to all the people who have posted them.
snake-youre so lucky to still have barn owls near you. i never see or hear them here now since many of the old farms were 'redeveloped' for housing.
