Changing profile pic

I apologise for putting this on bird forum, but didnt know where else to put it. I am trying to change the red squirrel to a Kingfisher, but cant do it. The image is below 250x250 and it keeps failing. Any help on this one greatly appreciated, Im banging my head of the wall trying to do it. Thanks

Thanks Jason mate, if you could have seen me trying to do it earlier you'd have laughed. Talk about frustration. Tried 20 times & was close to destroying the comp lol I'm not a morning person :-) cheers

Changed it to 67x45 and got message "upload of file failed" The tears are beginning to build :-(

Steady on old chap! lol. I have often got that message when the picture has in fact loaded. Have you checked?

Hi Dutchess, it states that my current profile picture is the new one I put on, but its still the Squirrel when I post messages??????

Try logging out and back in again. Or maybe you need to clear your cookies.

Its actually my new pic on "Your Current Profile Picture" and not on "Custom Profile Picture" its saying upload of file failed when I try put it on the custom profile picture.

I have a sneaky suspicion the gremlins are having a bit of fun with you Fudgey and when you least expect it, the avatar will have changed

However if I were you, I'd start looking at the pic itself now; i.e. is it in the correct format to upload? (it's usually gif or jpeg for this type of thing.) Or, have you cropped or reduced the size correctly?
