Hi and welcome to the forum! I have never visited Turkey, but would be curious to know if there are the same or similar birds to those we have here in Britain, or if they are completely different?

Hi,thanks for the welcome.
there are some same and some similar birds in Turkey
like european goldfinch(carduelis carduelis),green finches are the same.
the problem is my language ....my english is not so good to tell you everything in details in English

don't worry about your English We'll manage and if you use the latin name of the birds there will be no problems anyway.

Hi Batuhan

Welcome to WAB.

Don't worry about learning the vernacular names of birds too much, if you (or we) get stuck with translations, the all universal language of Latin will get us through! If you see on the left hand side of your screen, there is an A-Z of Latin names - all field guides in whatever language have the Latin names of bird species as well as the vernacular name of each species, so just post the Latin and we can do likewise. You will find a greater range of European species of birds in Turkey than we have here but also as you say, many the same.
