Think (1) is just a Kestrel...

Could (2) be a White Wagtail perhaps?

Hi, agree with the kestrel, but no:2 I would have said was a Pied Wagtail? (apologies if this is the same as I've not heard of a white wagtail)

I'm sorry to disappoint but I think no2 pic is a Pied Wagtail, too dark on the back and flanks to be a White.

Hi Robin,

I agree the first is a Kestrel, the second is a Pied Wagtail to me, the other with less extensive black.

Jay, the White is the continental race of our Pied. We get in the UK each year on passage I believe.

2. Pied Wagtail,ssorry to disappoint you again as stated above I made same mistake before with this one also the other that can confuse is the Yellow and Grey Wagtail
