| | | Help with ID's please A few pics I took on holiday - not sure about ID's
1. Possible Stonechat?
2. Possible Whinchat?
3. BOP - fairly large hovering against wind near the Needles IOW
4. Possible Grey Plover?
5. Wader?
Help in ID's would be appreciated.

| | | Re: Help with ID's please I'm sure an expert will be along in a minute, but in the meanwhile I'd suggest:
1) Male Stonechat
2) Female Stonechat
3) Kestrel
4) Grey Plover
5) Whimbrel
Going by my past performance, probably only 3 out of these 5 ID's will be correct! I'm pretty sure about 1 and 4 though. |

| | | Re: Help with ID's please Thanks for your suggestions Pete. Not convinced yet about the BOP as it looked too large for a Kestrel - but I suppose size can quite often be deceptive.

| | | Re: Help with ID's please The eyestripe can often be present on Curlew as well as Whimbrel so it could be a Curlew. Would want to see the crown and the bill to be sure, but I would call it a Curlew just because that is more likely. That's just me!
Cheers,
Adam
