I'm tempted to say its a chiffchaff because of the darker colouring, but not certain.

I'm pretty worried about this happening to birds near me.
Is there any advice to assist birds in being able to tell that its a window, and not for flying into?

Hi Ex,

Apparently you can get window stickers in the shape of birds or insects such as butterflies to obscure the openness. Search the RSPB site for some.
