| | | just seen my 1st buzzard. cant believe ive just seen a buzzard over ashworth valley heading over queens park in place called heywood . im pretty excited as ive never seen one around here before it was circling as they do. might only be passing over time was 1 50 pm. rossy.   |

They are beautiful birds we have had them nesting in the woods just up from our house for about 3 years now, I can remember when they first arrived, it was wonderful just watching them circle overhead and calling (mind you frightned the life out of my rabbit for the first few weeks, bless her little fluffy tail)!! We have been privaleged this year to have been able to watch them bring up and fledge 2 youngsters and to watch all 4 of them flying what I assume to be practice hunting, ( diving but coming up with nothing) has been amazing. Summer evenings wouldn't be the same now without hearing that distictive call and watching their majestic flight.
