| | | Cute noise rooks make I've always pictured rooks as making very grainy low-pitched calls. Just lately though I've heard some rooks making cute higher-pitched noises... sort of like chattering "brrt, brrt" noises. Does anybody know if this serves a purpose, and what it could be? |

| | | Re: Cute noise rooks make good question amoeba it depends on are they playing chess. i couldnt resist that sorry. if you go to a rookery in breeding season you hear all of those calls they make as they communicate to each other. but these are very clever birds and dont know if they do the calls all year round . people who have any near them should be able to have some input for you . rossy. |

| | | Re: Cute noise rooks make Rooks are very intelligent and social birds and as a result have a great range of calls from the typical caw sound to trills, chirrups and almost squeaks... Quite what the rooks are saying to each other we can never fully know but I think the 'cuter' calls are some kind of contact call. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
