| | | Help with identification Seen at 06:45 this morning. Bird was mainly dark brown on top, pale, almost white underneath, with a thick dark band across its chest.

Well ... kinda difficult to see just what it might be, but its upright stance might suggest it's a bird of prey. Was that the impression you got ... it might help narrow it down for someone if you could describe how it flew for instance ... or shape of beak? |

The most striking feature was its chest - a thick brown band separating a pale, almost white underside. I couldn't make out any speckling. |
