| | | Re: brockholes preston lancs There are plans in place to turn this reserve into an RSPB reserve but it will not be completed till 2011, it is planned to have a visitors centre and several hides. It is used by fishermen at the moment but casual visitors are allowed i believe but only along a footpath which runs through the reserve i think the person you should ask is Bill Aspin as he has a website that he updates with sightings from Brockholes.
I have planned to visit this place in the very near future and have cycled halfway there from Preston town centre but i was distracted in another direction http://www.brockholeswetland.org.uk/...eb140049fb2526

| | | Re: brockholes preston lancs Hi There,
Just to confirm Brockholes is actually a Wildlife Trust site not RSPB. The site is due to open in early 2011 and there are some very exciting plans in place. If you would like to know more you can visit: Untitled Document |

| | | Re: brockholes preston lancs I'm looking forward to this place opening, though hope the LWT don't make a pig's ear of it. Over the years Brockholes had attracted some tremendous birds.
