Is this normal

When checking six of our large bird boxes today Sept 09 i had a really nice surprise, in the first there were two baby pigeon, In the second there were two pigeon eggs with mother on them, in the third there was a jackdaw just sat, no eggs, I fled down the ladder ran home and got my camera for these pics, Not very clear but they were taken through the opening to the box, Is this normal as it is the second of September and going cold, It is really nice when you find these birds making use of your boxes very worth while, aland.

Kymba was asking about this too - I think it was 'Is this usual' as they have nesting pigeons. Apparently if they have plentiful food supplies they can reproduce throughout most of the year. Not sure about the other bird tho, maybe jsut fed up with the cold windy weather like we're having today

Yep, Woodpigeons will breed all year round if conditions allow. The Jackdaw though won't be breeding now.
