british birdwatching fair

hi , we had a great day last saturday at the birdfair bigger and better , lots more to see and do and at last i got to meet chris packham! he stood in for bill oddie who is still not well but chris has seen him and told everyone he is getting better. chris is doing autumnwatch . i got his autograph and also johnny kingdom . he was brilliant --poacher turned wildlife presenter --he had everyone laughing . it was his first time at the fair and hope he comes again next year. would be great if kate humble came too and gordon buchanan.
did anyone else go to the fair .? sue

Yep I went on the Sunday, sat in on a couple of very good talks, but my main aim was a new pair of binoculars or at least to check out all the various options. Ended up buying, after much deliberation and testing, a nice pair of second-hand Nikons from In Focus and I am very pleased with them and the price I got them for.

I'm gutted that I had to miss this years fair as I've not long had a knee replacement so thought that might be too much!!! It certainly sounded like I missed loads.
