Secondly don't give it bread and milk, most animals are intolerant to milk, but make sure there's water. If it is a goldcrest, they are not big on seeds they prefer insects and maybe a sycamore leaf or something covered in aphids might be better if you have anything like that? Next have a look on Yell.com and search for wildlife rescue in your area then call them and let them take over they'll have much more experiance and stand a better chance of fixing the bird.
Welcome to the site and good luck! |

| | | Re: can anyone help Hi Kazza it seems as if you are doing the right things,a picture would be a help if it is a finch the seed should be ok,if it is an insect eater there will be a problem so a good ID is a must can you not send a picture to the site?Keep it warm and cover the cage to calm it
Milk can encourage bacteria so stick with water

| | | Re: can anyone help If it is a Goldcrest, it feeds on tiny insects such as aphids + small spiders gleaned from foliage.
Goldcrests have a high-pitched song, but don't whistle. Along with Firecrest our smallest UK bird, members of the warbler family. Good luck with your bird. |

They eat tiny insects so it's tricky, aphids would be ideal often occur on plants in the garden like roses crowded together on the stems or on sycamore trees on the underside of the leaves. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
