Cliffe Pools and ID please
Had a lovely morning out at Cliffe Pools on Friday to see the avocets - over 800 there at the moment.



Also lots of Ringed Plovers, Black Tailed Godwits and Dunlin amongst the BH Gulls.



Plus these two in the foreground below.
At first I assumed they were Curlew but on closer inspection the beak seems shorter and straighter and I can see a bit of a striped crown, so I'm now hoping they might be Whimbrel ???
If so it would be a first for me.
