Walk down into the Dale from Over Haddon and head West along the river. It shouldn't be long before you spot them. Their song is quite distinctive, so you will probably hear them on the river before you see them!... The RSPB: Dipper
They are also in Monsal Dale and Millers Dale.
If you need a guided tour, let me know! I'm happy to take anyone on a 'Dipper' walk!

| | | Re: I saw a dipper!!! i saw one on the way back to my campsite after climbing snowdon, only hours after looking in by bird guide and thinking "i'd love to see a dipper". It was quite surreal because it was almost as if i'd imagined it, it flew by so quickly. definately a dipper though, nice birds. Quote: |
I would love to see a Nuthatch, that would be a first for me
| i've only seen one of these, and it was walking home the same route i'd done every day for nearly two years in nottingham. i thought it was a woodpecker at first so i stuck around and 'chased' it from tree to tree and finally got a good look at it. didn't get to look for long, they're very fast and it climbed up the tree out of view in no time! |

will be there with bornwild this weekend hopefully finding them for her first viewing | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
