| | Mystery bird?? I've only sen this once, at close range, feeding at my mesh-covered birdfeeder on peanuts.
It was about the size of a starling - but was matt black, with large white dappling on it's chest, & a medium sized curved beak. I can't find any pictures that look like it.
I live outside Dundee, on east coast of Scotland, near wwodland & open countryside.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what my myster bird can be? |

Agree that a Mistle Thrush on a hanging peanut feeder would seem highly strange!! Initial description seems a bit 'out' and not sure I'd describe a Mistle as 'matt black' with a 'thin curved bill' either ... interesting how people interpret what they see though and how difficult it is to identify something with just a few details and no photo! |
