| | | Re: Sorry looking Robin I would think that the Robin is as you say, going through a moult, they seem to do this after a hectic breeding session where they have been very busy feeding their young, always possible he may have been involved a fight as well over territory or he could be just getting old.
I am sure someone with more knowledge than me will be able to help you further.

| | | Re: Sorry looking Robin I have one looking the same, Chrissy! A shadow of its former self, very shy and nervous too. I too assumed that it was a moulting adult. |

They tend to try and merge-in and keep a low-profile. They'll be back to normal soon! |

| | | Re: Sorry looking Robin Seems like it is normal then which is ok...I was getting a bit worried! I have soft spot for Robins. I had one that used to feed from my hand a perch on my ironing board. In fact he used to hop around the floor when I was cooking, since then I hate to see them looking less than healthy...
But, it seems to be normal which is ok |

| | | Re: Sorry looking Robin dont worry about the robin as its normal at this time of the year. have a look at magpies if you get the chance as they are in similar condition as we say moult. most birds have now look like it as breeding has finished and in a few weeks they normally return looking nice and pretty. rossy. |
