This is part three of my trip report, a little belated, i admit but nevertheless, first trip up to Chanonry Point where plenty of seals were spotted and a distant view of Terns diving were, i am reliably informed, a good omen for Dolphins, a few brief views of a diving fin proved this theory.
We then decided on a spot of lunch before the tide turned at 2pm, in hopes of closer views, difficult little blighters to photograph as when you spot them and focus the camera, they have usually gone, but the old point and keep clicking theory finally paid of, thank god for digital eh?
stopped off at Loch Ruthven on the way back, met someone coming out who said they saw nothing about, which did not inspire me with confidence, but after five minutes managed to spot two Slavonian Grebes with the familiar orange triangle, not in their summer finery, and too far for anything but record shots, but still a very satisfying new bird for me, next day we decided on an osprey adventure at Loch Garten, we saw up to five birds including two passing interlopers looking for a suitable nesting site. One even decided to land in the nest in spite of the youngsters sreech of protest, then a few fruitless hours in search of the elusive Crested Tit

failed miserably and then down to Loch Insh for further disappointment.
We were travelling home the next day and decided to stop of at Loch of Loewes, where we had probably the best views ever, of Ospreys and i cannot recommend this place strongly enough, go soon or regret it
An absolute corker of an end to this holiday and in the words of Arnie, I'll be back
