| | | Where have all the starlings gone? Where do all the starlings go after the breeding season? I haven't seen any at all in my garden for a few weeks. I hope they're OK! |

| | | Re: Where have all the starlings gone? We get very few Starlings, just the odd small flock, which is a massive change from a few years back when there were hundreds in the garden, same with Sparrows, though we now have about thirty at the feeders virtually all day.

It's strange in our garden we get things in ones - one greenfinch, one bullfinch, one coaltit. How strange!

| | | Re: Where have all the starlings gone? Flocks of ten fighting of suet pellets have all disappeared from my garden so have blackbirds. I'm putting it down to summer molt. They stay under cover during this time as they are more vulnerable to predators

| | | Re: Where have all the starlings gone? I've also noticed a bit of a tailing off of Starling activity in the last week.
The suet treats are now lasting three days instead of one, and the grass seed has actualy grown.
Dont really begrudge the little darlings though! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
