Hi
Hope it's ok to do this but was a little concerned the post below might have been missed today, buried as it was in an older and long thread (despite it all being written in bold type!)- posted today by 'birdsbirdsbirds' at 1.10pm - if anyone has any advice, please post on the original thread though. Thanks. - link here:
Baby Thrush?
''Hello !!
Inside our barns there was a bird that laid some eggs. we checked them and three had hatched, we left them in the nest to keep warm ! Round our stables we found a live little chick on the floor, in the cold like the ones that had hatched in the barns, we bought it in the warm to keep safe and placed it into a box with a hot water bottle and blanket. we then went to see if there was anymore hatched in our barn, we got them out but they had been viciously attacked by what we think is another bird ! We went back to the stables to make sure none others were lying in the cold, when we found another chick in the same position, also we found two dead ones. We Placed them into the box like had done with the first, they are now very lively after n hour. we looked up google images the type of bird they will grow up to be and we came up with the answer THRUSH, we are now wondering what to feed these poor things, and what we can do to keep them safe and alive !
