| | | Duck IDs please I have been getting a bit confused with these two - I think they are both in eclipse plumage.
This one I can't decide if it is a Mandarin or a Wood Duck
Is this one a Mallard or something more exotic?
Both at Kew Gardens last Sunday
Thanks

2 is a Philippine Duck- both sexes have similar plumages, as do many southern hemisphere ducks. This is a collection bird, while the Mandarin is a wild feral bird at Kew.
